TeachingExpertise Article
Audiologists are based in hospitals and are qualified in assessing levels of hearing and hearing impairment.
They will carry out audiometric tests to measure hearing and give information on hearing impairment. They can give teachers advice and can help to develop classroom ideas for supporting children with hearing loss. They will also advise on aids to improve hearing. In most areas, they make regular visits to the child in school.
