The Association of Children's Hospices (ACH) – the national voice for children's hospice services – asks schools to celebrate 25 years of children's hospice care through the Butterfly Swimathon.
Throughout October young swimmers across the country can swim 25 widths or lengths (or their own personal target) of any stroke to raise money for their local children’s hospice service.
The Butterfly Swimathon is a terrific opportunity for kids to dive in and have fun whilst making a difference to thousands of children across the UK who won’t live to see adulthood.
The event’s name uses the butterfly to symbolise the beauty of life, no matter how short. But children taking part can participate in the event by swimming any stroke – even doggy paddle!
