Working in collaboration to improve behaviour and tackle truancy

On 18 November 2004 the then secretary of state for education and skills, Charles Clarke, announced the government’s expectation that schools should be working in collaboration to improve behaviour and tackle truancy by September 2007.
Extensive guidance and resources are now available on the teachernet website to help schools achieve this. The materials cover areas such as:- outcomes for school partnerships
- inter-school partnership design principles drawing on successful examples
- exemplar protocols and compacts
- an implementation outline describing how successful implementation can be achieved
- funding in school partnerships
- school collaboration on education out of school.
