Named LEA officer

TeachingExpertise Article
The named officer or case worker is an officer of the local education authority who keeps parents informed throughout the process of statutory assessment for a statement of special educational needs.
The named officer will explain all the procedures. There is often more than one named officer working for an authority, usually designated either by the age of the children each works with (under-fives, primary or secondary) or by their geographical area.
