Parent partnership service
This is a service set up by or with the support of the local authority, but which must be independent from it, to provide parents with information, advice and support.
This is the service which trains and provides the independent parental supporter, whose details are given to parents when their child is the subject of a statutory assessment.
Schools should liaise with this service so that parents can be put in touch with their local independent parental supporter whenever they want help or support.
