Protecting Children Update

Author: Edited by Jenni Whitehead

Protecting Children Update, edited by Jenni Whitehead, is written specifically for professionals working in the field of child protection.

Headteachers and their staff have a crucial role to play in safeguarding and promoting children's welfare. Ideally placed to pick up on the signs of possible abuse and neglect, they can often provide a safe haven for vulnerable children and young people. Schools are often able to develop long-term relationships with parents that other agencies have not been able to establish. And research shows that in most Local Authorities, schools make more referrals than any other agency.

Protecting Children Update is a concise and practical newsletter written specifically for, and totally dedicated to, teachers and education staff with child protection responsibilities.
