Easter & September posts available - immediate interviews! Immediate interview You must have E.U qualification Must have UK experience

Are you a qualified and experienced teacher of SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) & ASD (Autism)?

Does a post in an expanding independent residential special needs school appeal to you?

** Impressive Independent Special Needs School
** Provision for SLD & ASD pupils - 8-19yrs
** Permanent post - Easter & September starts!
** Salary + Pension (School looks to match MPS)
** OFSTED (2009) - 'Good' (Highest achievable for first inspection)

This is a new client school which registered in 2008. Since acquiring this site the independent group linked with this school have ensured excellence and focus on children suffering from SLD & ASD is a priority. The school is located in leafy Surrey with easy over ground transport links to trendy South West London.

This site is a rapidly expanding residential school, looking to add to both its pupil and staff numbers. A strong focus on full time and specific provision for all pupils sees a very balanced pupil to staff ratio, with classes often being 1:1 and small groups (not exceeding 6).

With 4 teachers currently on board the school are looking of calm, empathetic and experienced classroom practitioners who are seeking a new exciting and challenging post.

The post is permanent and so is open to teachers looking to relocate or live within the area. Due to the nature of SEN and the pupils concerned the school will only consider the most committed candidates and in return offer excellent prospects to those who are highly ambitious and keen to develop personally. QTS is not essential but this is preferred, with overseas trained teachers certainly being considered. This is a fantastic opportunity for special needs teachers who have been unable to complete their QTS in time.

Experience in working with children suffering from severe learning difficulties and autism is paramount, as to ensure you have the correct temperament to work within such an environment. You will be expected to work closely with the Headteacher and Director of Education as well as show and deliver the curriculum in sync with pupils' needs. The main focus for the Head is that teachers are able and willing to be involved even with personal care of these pupils, which they realise, is often an issue with some teachers. In-service training and relevant off site courses will be available and offered to ensure all teaching staff are up to date on all SEN practice.

The Surrey site is residential, with ensuite bathrooms, bedrooms decorated to children's/young peoples' taste as well as activity, dining and sensory rooms. The school is fully equipped with all new resources at your fingertips. With the school being a residential base, personal care will be required, so candidates who have not worked with moderate to severe ASD pupils need to consider before applying.

If you are interested in either the Easter or September posts please email me your full up to date CV and cover letter in the first instance. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call or email Danny Jillions.
