Clare and Barrie Smale were the guests of Crown House Publishing at the awards ceremony, which took place at Aston Villa Football Club. Two Crown House Publishing titles, The Little Owl’s Book of Thinking and Parents First, were nominated in the category for Secondary Resources. The Teachers’ Pocketbook Series were the winners of the category and Clare was delighted to be able to accept the award on their behalf.

The Education Show – Birmingham 2004
Despite the snow on the second day of the show, there were thousands of visitors to the NEC over three days. It was fantastic to meet so many people who are enthusiastic about teaching and working with children. We enjoyed hearing your tales form the classroom and swapping ideas on accelerated learning techniques. We have had lots of offers to contribute articles for the magazine and expressions of interest about helping with the web site and joining our advisory panel.
