I am currently looking for a specialist Dance and Drama secondary teacher for this very successful Creative Arts Department for either an immediate or September 2009 start, this position is initially on a long term basis with a view to a permanent contract for the right candidate. The post holder will be creative, driven and have a good level of teaching and learning responsibility as well as having the innovation required to continue to develop and enhance the teaching practice of others, you will be able to maintain and build upon the standards already achieved within this department that is lead by a meticulous and efficient head of department who requires the best

Having a keen interest in further developing the performing arts as an out of school activity is key to this post, the school is fortunate in having many students talented in the performing arts and having the desire to be the very best. You should be dynamic and enthusiastic, have the ability to establish real rapport with young people and be committed to making a difference.

The school offers excellent professional development opportunities and is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school. The timetable is predominantly dance with drama being the second subject a well resourced arts department particularly due to the designated specialism.
