Job Description –

Role:
* Teaching & Learning in English

* Provide leadership, management and co-ordination to the English and MFL Faculties

* Communication & liaison with Senior Management

Candidate:

* Qualified Teacher Status

* Current or previous Management Experience

* Excellent communication skills

Lyng Hall is a flourishing urban secondary school located in Coventry. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Communications Department. Within this department, the English team is a dynamic and enthusiastic component. The successful candidate will provide leadership, management and co-ordination to the English and Modern Foreign Languages Faculties in addition to teaching English up to 16 hours per week. The English department currently has the highest results of a core subject at GCSE and is seen as a leading team. Ofsted stated that CVA scores for English are in the top quartile for similar schools. Also conversion rates at key stage 3 in English are above average.

A recent Ofsted report described the relationships between teachers and pupils as ‘good’ and highlights ‘an atmosphere of co-operation and hard work’
