English / Drama Teacher

Immediate start – Maternity Cover for 2 terms – Specialist Arts College Immediate interview

** Drama & English Teacher – Feb 1/2 term start ** Specialist Arts School – Archway ** KS3/KS4 – small classes

** Maternity Cover until July

Are you a qualified English and Drama teacher that would be interested in a maternity cover post from the 23rd of February until the end of the academic year?

This specialist Arts status school has an excellent reputation for teaching and learning and you will be joining a faculty that heeds good results and has a stable and strong team of teachers.

This post has arisen due to a maternity leave which was expected for April but has been brought forward by 6 weeks. The timetable consists of KS3 and KS3 Drama & English which is a 50/50 split and you will be teaching mixed ability sets from year 7-9. You must be confident to be able to plan effectively and ensure that all students have access to the subject material in relation to their ability and needs. The Drama faculty has outstanding facilities and 3 state of the art studio’s t teach in. Leadership and support are excellent within the Humanities department and there are several senior teachers teaching the subject for you to work with and learn from.

The school is a vibrant multi-cultural environment with a friendly and motivated teaching team. There are only 650 students so the classes are small so you will therefore build up solid relationships quickly and effectively.
The school is easily accessible via the Northern and Piccadilly Lines and boasts a friendly atmosphere with an open door policy.
