//  by Admin

This ready-to-use lesson for secondary students provides exciting enrichment in mathematics, logic, analysis and thinking skills

Gifted and talented enrichment activity: All in a daze work

Activity written by Julian Whybra, from the book Enrichment Activities for Gifted and Talented Children by John Senior and Julian Whybra

The aim of this lesson-length enrichment activity is to encourage inquiry, critical and creative thinking, and knowledge-building in your gifted and talented students. The activity follows this structure:

  • description
  • tasks to carry out
  • going further.

At first glance, this activity looks like a mathematics puzzle or brain teaser. It starts off by outlining, step-by-step, a method of discovering the day of the week of any date in the past, and encourages pupils to participate by completing key tasks.
