This is a fantastic opportunity for a current Head of Centre or SENCO looking to take up a new and challenging role. This is a South West London Primary school with a well established centre of pupils with MLD. The school is accessible by tube and bus in zone 4 on the outskirts of London bordering the Surrey border. The current head is looking to move on after a number of years of service. The teaching and support have been there for some time and have a very good team dynamic and possess a good work ethic.
You MUST be an experienced special needs teacher, able to show a wide range of knowledge across the SEN code and able to motivate and lead a team of HLTA’s and TA’s. There are currently around 15 pupils in the centre all with a range of moderate learning difficulties.
The Head teacher is keen to recruit an enthusiastic, creative and hardworking Head of centre. This is a challenging post, but within a lovely Primary school atmosphere with supportive senior leadership. Staff here really pull together, to create the best possible learning and working environment possible.
You will be expected to take on a key role in helping to continue and improve this inclusive environment where children are supported to achieve their best! The post will be on a permanent contract beginning as soon as possible.
The school however are committed to finding the ‘right person’ so interviews will be formal and fairly extensive.
The successful candidate needs to have extensive SEN knowledge and experience across the primary age range. A good communicator and team player is required for this post and you will be expected to lead and inspire both pupils and staff!
