This new school opening in March 2010 is looking to run the British Curriculum of England and Wales. The schools vision is to become a Flagship school in the region of Abuja.
Abuja is the Federal Capital of Nigeria with a wealth of development. Abuja has a population of 1.4 million but its capital status is young as the city only succeeded Lagos as capital in 1991.
In a few years Abuja has become the heart of Nigeria’s diplomatic activity with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) basing their offices in the city.
Located at the heart of Africa’s most populous country, Abuja has a very strategic position for visiting the rest of the country. Abuja is a modern and attractive city with many interesting buildings and villas. The beauty of Abuja is in its landscape which is characterised by rolling hills, isolated highlands and gaps with low dissected plains.
The school is looking for a Headteacher to commence March 2010:
Headteacher applying for this post shoudl have the following: ** An M.Ed, B.Ed or a degree with a Bachelors of Education ** NPQH or equivalence is highly desirable ** At least 5 years experience in a Senior Manager Role ** Be a native speaker of English ** Be Western Trained (UK, USA, Canada, Australia or South Africa) ** Be proficient in MS Office Applications & use of interactive whiteboard ** Have excellent interpersonal, presentation and report writing skills ** Have a strong belief in AFL, experiential and independent learning
** Have a comprehensive grasp of the current education initiatives, practice and thinking
