My client, a mixed Secondary comprehensive in NW London, are looking for a Learning Support Teacher to join their large and successful team in January 2011. This school is a high achieving school with an impressive 70% A – C GCSE pass rate and ‘Outstanding’ on the last OFSTED 2008.
You will be working with small groups and in 1:1 in a large learning support department. Primarily you will be aiding pupils with literacy, as well as pupils with behavior and speech and language statements. A mainstream teacher would suit this role with experience teaching inner city pupils across all key stages, including humanities subjects. Knowledge of ASDAN and other related SEN statements would be beneficial as pupils cover a full spectrum.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to convert this position into a permanent role on successful completion of the Spring term.
All applicants are welcome, but you MUST fulfill the following criteria; have at least a 1 years experience working in a comprehensive setting, be committed to raising attainment with statemented pupils and a passion for teaching.
