** Working 1:1 and in small groups (MLD Pupils)
This new client school has around 370 boys currently with around 50 working through the SEN department. These boys have very mild learning difficulties, ranging from organisational and engagement issues to those with difficulty in reading, writing and spelling.
The department is growing; however the role is only part time currently. The working days could be flexible, but are currently Wednesday through to Friday. The school offer a very attractive salary package to the successful teacher.
Experience working with a full range of pupils across key stage 2 and 3 would be ideal. QTS is a preference but not entirely essential depending on qualifications. Overseas trained teachers will be considered.
Staff and pupils at the school create a friendly and hard working environment. Behaviour at the school is not a problem with pupils all in uniform and very high achieving. Staff retention at the school is impressive, with the current SENCO having been there for 5 years and with no intention of leaving. Such commitment to a school highlights the tight knit team they currently have in place.
You must have experience working with MLD pupils as well as an SpLD qualification to be successful in the role. The school is located close to an over ground station with good bus links. Your own transport is suggested in order to make your daily commute easier due to the location of the school.
The post is to begin in January or sooner, so you will require a valid enhanced CRB. Qualified teachers only apply! Please email CV’s before December 31st.
