Long Term Special Needs ICT Teacher

Are you a fully qualified ICT Teacher looking to work within an SLD school?

** ICT Teacher required! ** Berkshire based Special school – 150 pupils ** September start – Cover Long Term sickness

** Salary: Main Scale + SEN

This residential special school caters for 150 pupils with an increasing severity of learning difficulties (SLD) aged between 2 – 19 yrs. The school are seeking a qualified ICT teacher to cater for pupils across all age groups. This is a temporary role to begin at the end of September due to a long term illness!

NQT’s or qualified mainstream teachers will be considered as long as you have the passion to become an SEN teacher. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and a focused classroom practitioner.

A firm believer in continuous professional development all new staff would receive a comprehensive induction package with further training and refresher courses available at suitable intervals.

You will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the class work, which will include deployment of a team of support staff. The class groups are small, varying from 5 to 10 pupils, all with a range of complex learning needs including physical, sensory, and emotional and health related disabilities.

The school are looking to the future and within the next year the school will be relocating to a new purpose built accommodation on the same site as a mainstream Primary and Secondary school.

This position requires an immediate response to those qualified and suitable candidates. CVs are required before the 21st September as interviews will be held the following week.
