An excellent opportunity is available for a creative and inspirational Science teacher to teach Science from year 7-11 in a very reputable mixed comprehensive located in Bracknell. The position is due to a resignation and will be offered to the successful candidate on a permanent basis to start at the beginning of the 2010 academic year. The school has over 1,200 students on the roll with 350 in a successful 6th for where all Science disciplines are taught and are very popular. The school has excellent facilities and the Science faculty can boast interactive whiteboards in each class, purpose built ICT suites and a wealth of resources both on and offline. You will be joining an existing team of 10 including the experienced support staff and technicians. The science team is excellent with AST’s and highly experienced teacher for you to work with and learn from. Your timetable will consist mainly of teaching General Science from year 7-11. However, there is the opportunity to teach AS and A2 for a teacher with suitable experience. The school prides itself on behaviour and attainment and in 2008 the OFSTED inspection graded the school as “good” with outstanding features.
