Are you a qualified teacher with SEN experience specifically focussed on ASD (Autism) pupils?

This forward thinking Special School is keen to expand and improve its post 16 provision with a current focus on pupils aged 11 – 16. This school is located within a South London borough close to Surrey with a recent investment of some GBP 2 million into various aspects of the school; highlighting a clear validation that the school is successful, has the capacity to develop further and has an important part to play in providing specialist provision for the South of London.

The Headteacher has made it clear that successful candidates will hold QTS here in the UK with a clear commitment and passion to teach with an SEN environment.

You must have the experience, empathy and patience to deal with pupils on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD) aged 16 – 19 however opportunities to work within other areas of the school is possible.

The main focus of literacy, numeracy and ICT is to develop the student’s ability to use these skills to help them in their daily living and so the role requires an excellent classroom practitioner, team player who places high emphasis on learning and teaching with no compromise for high standards.
