We are proud to welcome our Chair, the inspirational Dr David George, Founder President of the National Association for Able Children in Education, to share the G&T expertise he has gained from a lifetime of working with gifted and talented children. David will help you engage G&T pupils in their learning, as he shows you how to develop them as independent learners who take pride in nurturing their gifts and talents.
Tim Dracup, the DCSF Lead for Gifted and Talented, will be joining us to bring you up-to-date with major changes that are being made to G&T national policy this year. He’ll help you adapt your G&T policy and practice in line with the changes, so you can ensure you are meeting government expectations for provision and prepare for inspection in G&T.
We will also be welcoming Ian Warwick, Senior Director of London Gifted and Talented, to share his highly esteemed techniques for getting staff on board with creating challenge for G&T children in a mixed ability class. Ian will help you develop the skills and strategies you need to train staff on effective ways to differentiate lessons, so you can ensure your G&T pupils are challenged in every part of the curriculum.
A variety of leading G&T practitioners will also be there to share their case studies on how to: ✶ Accurately identify G&T children using up-to-date criteria and strategies ✶ Analyse data to monitor pupil progress and combat underachievement in G&T ✶ Use exciting enrichment activities and learning trips to engage G&T pupils learning
