Primary SENCO

January 6, 2011 //  by Admin

January 11'. Primary SENCO

** January 11'. Permanent position ** MPS + TLR2a ( Approx GBP 4500 ) ** 'Good School' - OFSTED 2009

** Good transport links.

Are you currently a Primary SENCO who is looking for a new challenge?

Are you a strong Primary Practitioner, with solid SEN experience, ready to make the step up to SENCO?

My Client Primary School in Greenwich is looking to appoint a dynamic individual to work as a SENCO from January 2011. The successful candidate will be non class based and will be expected to manage and train Teachers/Support Staff, plan and implement IEPs, work on new statements and generally provide strong leadership in SEN.

The School has just gone though a successful OFSTED where the school was described as 'good'. It is a one form entry school with approximately 200 children on role. The school achieves well in both the Year 2 and Year 6 SATs - approx 80% of the children achieve above the National/LEA average in both Mathematics and English. Over 10% of the children are on the SEN register and there are currently 15 statements.

The Head is a very supportive individual who cares passionately about the staff and children in her school. She will expect a hard worker, an innovator and someone personable who will fit in at the school.

She is looking to interview in the next few weeks. There will be an initial meeting with the Head then a full interview with Head and Governors in May. The appointment will be made before Christmas.
