School Admissions and Appeals 2009 – London

October 3, 2009 //  by Admin

“The annual report last year found that 50% of admissions authorities had criteria which didn’t entirely fit the code. The biggest issue is to make sure they do. We will be monitoring closely.”
Dr. Ian Craig, Chief School Adjudicator, February 2009

The revised School Admissions and Appeals Codes came into force this February after a further crackdown by the Government against unfair admission practices. Schools are being warned that failure to comply will result in severe penalties and snap inspections through School Adjudicators’ new powers to police the system.

How can you ensure your admissions arrangements are compliant and will not be overturned at appeal?

Our expert speakers will help you clarify your legal position, implement effective criteria and ensure you have the tools necessary should your decisions be challenged.
