A first-class opportunity has a risen for a motivated and talented Science teacher immediately to work in one of London’s most exciting Pupil Referral Unit’s (PRU). Located on route to Slough 20 minutes from Paddington Station.
The school is looking for an experienced Science practitioner to work in this unusual Pupil Referral Unit. Based in a charming old primary school building this PRU creates a friendly and inviting environment for around 125 secondary pupils with challenging behaviour.
The school is responsible for the education of students permanently excluded form mainstream schools, as well as students who have medical conditions preventing them attending mainstream school.
The school require a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to deliver an enthusiastic and exciting Science curriculum up to GCSE across all three sciences and to contribute towards a positive learning culture that promotes success and personal well being.
This position will be on a long term supply basis at first with a view to becoming a permanent member of staff with the current Science Teacher leaving the post to return home to Australia.
Experience of working with pupils Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties would be desirable but is not essential if you are a strong practitioner, and you will be offered considerable professional development opportunities.
