** Science Teacher – GCSE & A level ** Permanent post for September 09 ** Main Scale Salary / Excellent progression
** “Outstanding” (OFSTED 2008)
Are you a qualified Science teacher that’s looking for a fresh challenge in a dynamic all girls school in central London from September 09 on a permanent basis.
Due to an internal promotion the school is looking to recruit a well qualified subject specialist to join a strong Science faculty in this highly acclaimed and oversubscribed school with a reputation for excellence in teaching and learning. All separate science disciplines are taught up to advanced level and expectations are high across all key stages so you must have high expectations of yourself, your students and be confident that you can deliver results and ensure each pupil maximises their potential. The school would welcome applications from Biology and Chemistry teachers but their preference is to recruit a teacher who can offer A level Physics.
You will be teaching a split timetable of 50% KS3/KS4 and 50% A level.
The school was visited by OFSTED in 2008 and was graded as outstanding in every category. Teaching and learning were outstanding coupled with leadership and particular praise was mentioned the planning, preparation and pace of the lessons being taught.
If you see yourself as a dynamic and progressive teacher who would like the challenge of working with a mixture of students ranging from SEN to OXBRIDGE in a supportive and professional environment then look no further.
The school has outstanding ICT facilities and the Science department’s ethos is to share resources, best practice and encouraging peer learning at all times.
This school plays a leading role in local networks and provides outstanding professional development opportunities with a national dimension.
