So that you are under no illusions; this will be a challenging post, but will certainly be the most satisfying!
This school site is one of four schools within the group that cater for children with special needs, specifically with SLD and ASD. This school is a lovely well resourced site that looks to offer an excellent education ton all pupils as well as a comfortable and dynamic environment for staff. You will be responsible for working with and providing personal care for pupils with ASD ranging from moderate to severe. There is currently a solid teaching and support staff within the school, who are able to offer support and advice as well as the team continuing to expand along with the growth of the school and intake of pupils.
Experience in these areas, whilst helpful is not essential. A passion for SEN and working with less able pupils along with the right temperament and personality is a main focus for the successful candidate.
Extensive and on-going training and support of all staff is at the core of the success of the school. You will also be supported and encouraged to further develop your skills.
