Would you like to work in an outstanding independent school?
Do you have an OCR or SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) qualification?
A position has come about with a new client school, an outstanding all boys independent school in South London. The current SEN department is very small but growing, which could see your role potential taking on more full time hours and responsibility.
The Head is looking for somebody on a permanent basis, but will be required to work through Academics as a probationary period. The school are committed to finding the ‘right person’ for the role. This is a dream job, working with pupils that have good behaviour and require specific attention to their needs.
Pupils range across key stage 2 and 3 with a range of mild learning difficulties. Some pupils have difficulty engaging and organising themselves, other require help with reading, writing and spelling. An individual with adaptable skills and knowledge is required!
The school has around 370 pupils with some 50 of those boys being involved within the SEN department throughout the year. The post will require you to work alongside another part time teacher and the SENCO, working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
The school are seeking a well presented and well spoken teacher ideally with a qualification in SpLD or related to MLD. QTS is desirable but not essential due to the school being independent. If you are dynamic, keen to submerse yourself in all school life.
