A position has arisen in one of my client school from September for a suitable experienced Teacher of SEN, required to work in Key Stage 2.
The school is a Special school in the London Borough of Ealing, catering for pupils who have a physical and/or a medical disability.
The school has a strong emphasis on their pupils education and social skills and aim For their pupils to leave the school with the knowledge that their skills, abilities and potential enables them to have high self esteem and confidence, to meet the challenge of life beyond school.
The school also aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum incorporating the National Curriculum which will help individual pupils to achieve their full potential and to maximise personal autonomy.
Curriculum policy statements and supporting documents have been produced for all areas of the school’s work and are regularly reviewed by the governing body of the school.
In most areas of the curriculum there are long term plans which are followed by the teaching staff. These are used as a basis for medium term plans which cover particular topics or areas of a subject. Medium term plans are normally half termly but may be longer or shorter as the topic
requires. Within the medium term planning the teachers begin to differentiate the tasks the pupils will undertake to ensure that the level of challenge is appropriate and that individual needs are recognised. Weekly plans are discussed with all the staff working with a group of children so that all the adults working with that group know what the aims and outcomes should be for each child. All plans are monitored by the school management team.
Are you ready for a fresh challenge in a good school?
Could you add to the excellent wealth of experience already at the school?
Are you motivated, committed and loyal?
Would you like to work in a rewarding and satisfying environment?
