Start the new academic year teaching at a vibrant two moving to three form entry primary school in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Are you an experienced key stage two teacher who wants to join a school that uses a creative topic based curriculum which is being created to suit the pupils who go to the school? The school is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment to turn the school form a two form to a three form entry primary. This is creating new teaching positions and will also bring new management opportunities. You will be teaching a year three class which has 30 pupils who enjoy being at the school and generally keen to learn. You will have the fulltime support of an experienced teaching assistant and the use of an interactive white board. As team leader you will work alongside a phase leader and be responsible for moving the curriculum forward best practice and generally leading by example. Almost all parents who expressed an opinion say their children enjoy school. One said, ‘Staff members are friendly, caring, approachable and extremely hard working.’ Recent improvements to the accommodation for the Nursery, Reception and Year 1 classes mean that the learning environment here is more attractive, if in a separate building from the rest of the school.
The school has an excellent head teacher who is dedicated to the continued improvement of the school. She is looking for bright, creative and enthusiastic teachers who will enjoy using a creative curriculum.
