This list is a collection of book recommendations on blended families. There are picture books for younger children, as well as some bigger reads and novels for an older audience. The topics covered vary but are books about families that are somehow different from the norm -  a complicated family, books about divorce, and successful stepfamily stories. The books cover the positive aspects of being part of a family that may look different than others.

An adorable book with colorful illustrations that keep the reader engaged. Two birds find a lone egg and take it in. When it hatches, they find that it was not a bird, but a croc! A nice book to use when talking about adoption because young children can access the message.
