Learning alphabet letters can be fun and challenging for preschoolers! Using crafts and activities to teach preschoolers letter recognition is a great way to use the five senses and help them get engaged and excited for learning new letters and sounds! Most children love learning through hands-on activities and the following ideas will help you keep learning interesting and engaging for them!

1. Grape Sculptures

Grape sculptures are a great activity to use for preschoolers when studying the letter G! It combines fine motor skills with letter recognition and results in a healthy snack. This activity is a winner for many reasons!

2. Gumball Number Mats

What better way to teach than to be able to link cross-curricular activities!?! This letter G activity will bring math into the lesson as well and will allow students to count objects and match numbers while still learning about the letter G through this unique gumball activity!

Students can use the letter shape of G to create their own glittery, sparkly letters! Their letter in glue can be filled in with their choice of colored glitter and when it dries, it can serve as a way for practicing tracing their new letter!

Gel bags are fun and easy ways to incorporate letter G sensory activities! Preschoolers will enjoy practicing tracing the letter G in uppercase letter and lowercase letterforms! These are easy to make and super beneficial in allowing students to practice letter shape!

Using cardstock to cut out a letter G for the base, your preschooler can then use scissors to finish it off by cutting construction paper to look like grass to add to the top. You could get creative and let them add real grass as well.
