20 Letter J Activities For Preschool

Learning letters and sounds can be lots of fun for preschoolers! You can think of other ways besides repetition and writing! There are many hands-on activities and creative crafts that can help young learners with their letters and sounds! Explore the following options for involving motor skills, artistic expression, and even physical movement!

1. Jelly Bean Activities

Students will love sorting and grouping jelly beans!  They could sort by color or by flavors of jelly beans. They can further their fine motor skills by having them line them up to form a letter J. This is a great way to practice letter formation.

2. Sorting Activity

This letter learning activity is a great way to practice sorting uppercase and lowercase letters! This is a simple and easy activity that only requires a piece of paper and scissors.

3. Jacket Craft

J is for jacket and preschoolers can practice fine motor skills by gluing pieces to their jackets. This is a great way to let preschoolers practice using a glue stick while learning about the letter J.

This paper jellyfish craft is another good motor skill activity as well. It is easy to make this letter J craft and will let little hands practice using pipe cleaners to fit into small holes. Paper plates and pipe cleaners are all you need plus a little paint!

Most preschoolers love juice! This letter sheet is a fun way to make a craft out of the letter shape and practice letter-building skills. Students could enjoy a cup of their favorite juice afterward!
