Time to get kids out and about. What better way than to do a nature scavenger hunt? You can take kids to the local park, a wooded area, or even the beach. Any natural area will do to play the scavenger hunt game and be in contact with Mother Earth.

Use these printables and we are ready to go on the first hunt. Children explore nature and cross off what they see along the way. You can play the classic game " I spy " to help them.

9. It's a Snap!

Children will love to do something that involves a bit of mystery and challenge on this Nature "Birthday" Scavenger hunt. Find a good spot and put up clues with the birthday boy or girl's picture. For example, Name 3 types of trees that grow in your area. or find a stick as long as your arm, and many more fun lists that can be adapted to kids. Use compasses and coordinates for extra fun!
