Kangaroos are one of Australia's most recognizable animals and can be introduced to preschoolers when educating them about various locations around the world. We've put together a list of 21 adorable kangaroo crafts and activities to help you do just this! Delve into our collection now to find the perfect accompaniment to your next kangaroo lesson.

1. Make Kangaroo Masks

This kangaroo mask template can be printed onto cardstock before cutting out holes for your preschooler to see and speak through. We'd recommend stringing two holes on either side of the face to tie a piece of elastic through so that it can sit comfortably on your child's face.

2. Toilet Roll Kangaroo And Joey

This craft is a great way to reuse old toilet rolls. It's super easy to make and would make an adorable mother's day gift. Simply cut out the kangaroo's tail, legs, pouch, joey, and face and glue them onto a toilet roll.

3. Pot Plant Holder

Add some fun to your planters by attaching a cute cardboard kangaroo. You can certainly add some flare by gluing on a few sequins or glitter. All that's required to bring this little guy to life is cardboard, a pair of scissors, glue, a black button, googly eyes, and glitter.

10. Kangaroo Candy Holder

Print out a template of a kangaroo's body, arms, and legs, a pouch as well as a  head and ears onto a piece of construction paper. Students can then use safety scissors to cut them out before gluing all the pieces together and popping a sweet treat into the pouch.

All that's needed for this simple activity is a brown cardstock pouch cut out, an office punch, and a piece of string. Your learners may require some assistance to correctly punch holes into their pouch, but will certainly manage to weave the string through the holes to join the front to the back.

Kangaroo songs are a great way to teach your learners about how a kangaroo gets around. Another added bonus is that they'll be able to release some pent-up energy as they follow the actions and hop around the classroom.
