23 Calming Winter Sensory Bottles You Can Make with Kids

Sensory bottles are great for use in the classroom or at home! They can provide a calming effect for an upset child and help settle a student if they are anxious. Sensory bottles are easy to make and can include anything from plastic confetti to food coloring to glitter glue. The possibilities are endless and can be chosen by you and/or your students or child. Themed sensory bottles are always a big hit! Winter-themed sensory bottles are a great addition to your classroom as well!

1.  Snow Slime Sensory Bottle

The best part about this winter sensory bottle is making it! Children love making slime and this sensory bottle is full of it. Add in some blue food coloring, sparkles, snowflake confetti, or silver glitter to give it a wintery touch!

2. Snowflake Sensory Bottle

Perfect for repurposing a tall, clear water bottle, this snowflake sensory bottle is a great winter piece for your classroom. This would be great during cold weather and can feature plenty of lovely winter glitter and silver sequins.

3. Snowman Sensory Bottle

This snowman-themed sensory bottle is super fun! Draw on eyes or glue eyes to the bottle, along with a carrot nose and a mouth to create a snowman. This melted snowman sensory bottle is a perfect addition to your classroom calm-down corner.

4. Glitter Sensory Bottle

Using silver or blue glitter, simply add it to a bottle to create a winter-themed sensory bottle. Use hot glue to seal the top and this bottle is good to go for all the shaking that little hands want to do. You could add silver sequins or blue sequins to help give it more of a wintery feel.

This Christmas snowman snow globe-themed sensory bottle is a little different. It is filled with tiny Styrofoam balls and looks like the inside of a snow globe. You can add other small items, like colored pom poms or small animal figurines as well.

Glitter glue and glow-in-the-dark stars are all you need for this winter night-themed sensory bottle. The small stars will create the glow-in-the-dark effect, while the glitter glue will fill the bottle full of blue sparkles.

8. Sequin Sensory Bottle

Another snowflake-themed bottle, this one is super small! It can be made from a baby jar or a similar small container. Add some water and some sparkly snowflakes. You could add a touch of food coloring to give it a little color as well.

11. Winter Glitter Jars

These colored winter glitter jars are great to let students make. They can choose the color of glitter glue. Let students add in additional sparkles, sequins, snowflakes, or other small objects to add depth and dimension. These can be made in any type of jar or bottle and can be shaken up to create a beautiful scene.
