**Subject leader of Food technology- Merton- September start **Inner London Paypsine – plus TLR 1 **Excellent career potential – Scope for Head of Faculty We are looking to appoint a well qualified, creative and forward-thinking Subject Leader who will be able to deliver GCSE Food Technology as well as contribute to their enrichment and extracurricular programme. A commitment to working within the Key Stage 3 Technology curriculum across the local area will also be expected of the successful candidate. This an extremely popular and over-subscribed 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school located in a pleasant suburb on the borders of Wimbledon and Sutton. The school was inspected in September 2008 and judged as satisfactory with good features. The GCSE examination results are consistently rising. In 2008 51% of pupils achieved 5+A* to C grades and 45% achieved A* to C including English and Mathematics. They have been a Technology College since September 2006 hence a full range of Technology subjects are taught throughout the school. At KS4 all pupils study one subject to GCSE level. Technology department will be undergoing a GBP 7.5 million refurbishment which ill further enhance these facilities.
